The newest addition to our family…

31 05 2009

The last couple months have been extremely busy and I have several sessions waiting to be posted.  But, there’s one post WAY more important than all of the others that has been bumped into first place on the waiting list.  We have had a new baby!

His name is Josiah Sidney Blackmore.  He is 2 1/2 days old (1 1/2 days old in the photos) and our first baby boy!  Josiah was born early Friday morning.  He was 21 inches long, 7lbs, 12.5oz., and had a head circumference of 14.5 inches.

Josiah’s sisters absolutely adore him and give him lots of attention.  Daddy beams like a little boy in a candy store – and mama is happy the labor is over and we can enjoy holding and kissing our little baby.  We couldn’t be a happier family.  And, of course, here’s several pictures.

Aliana’s Spring Portraits

3 05 2009

Every year I take the school portratits in my children’s schools.  I love being able to provide beautiful portraits for children who may not have the opportunity to have nice portraits otherwise.  I also enjoy taking pictures for children that I already know.  It makes my job of capturing natural smiles much easier.

I also enjoy being with my children – and they enjoy being able to pick out cool products from their school portraits.  I will post pictures of this years products later, but for now here’s a few of my favorite pictures of Aliana.

Aliana is now 7 years old.  She is in first grade.  She loves math and is enjoying reading.  Aliana says she wants to be a teacher when she grows up.  She is very helpful and loves taking care of her younger sisters when she gets a chance.  I’m sure she’ll be a wonderful big sister to her new baby brother when he arrives.

Children’s Portraits

These two girls were so easy to photograph.  They were both so full of giggles and smiles.  We went to my new-found favorite spot hidden away in the middle of town.  It was windy and a little chilly, but these two didn’t complain once.  Thanks for making my job so easy!

This was one of my first spring photo sessions of the year, and I really enjoyed the greens and blues of the season.  I will miss the beautiful colors of the four seasons after moving to Arizona at the end of the summer.  I hope to squeeze in several amazing spring and summer sessions before that time and take advantage of the beautiful scenery of the NorthWest.
