Back and running again!

24 09 2008

Well, we’re back.  Italy was amazing.  We stayed with Nonna Marsalasie and her family.  They were so good to us, and treated us just like family.  We miss them already.

If you are going to visit another culture, this is the way to do it.  I love to be immersed in another culture, I think it gives a better perspective of the people’s lives, rather than a touristic sampling.  Look for photos soon.

I was also able to attend my sister’s wedding.  Congratulations, Katya.  She looked gorgeous.  I don’t know how many of you know, but two of my 17 siblings are professional photographers.  Family weddings are always a blast, because we get to work together.  This wedding was no exception.  I had so much fun tagging along and coming up with ideas.  Plus, watching another photographer always teaches me so much.

Last, but not least, I have a little bonus special…sort of my way of bringing you a gift from my trip.  Any order of a 16×20 or larger will come with a digital file.  Free.  My compliments ($75 value).  This is even good for orders in packages.  In order to redeem this, just mention this blog when booking your session.  Sessions must be booked before Oct. 15th.

Well, have a wonderful day, and don’t forget to book your session soon.  Keep looking for more specials and updates.

Italy!

Well, Sid and I are headed to Italy Tuesday morning.  We will be gone for one week.  I am so excited!  Yet, at the same time I am very nervous, both to leave our kids, and to fly overseas.  It’s been seven years since we went last (when we were kid-less).  I’m not sure if I will have internet access, as we will be staying with Sid’s Grandma Marsalaise.  Email me with any questions, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  Seeing as sessions are limited, emails will be answered in the order received.

Plus, check back for some awesome pictures from Italy (and from the volcano we are going to hike…eeek!)

One more jewel…

I was reviewing Mandy’s senior session, and realized that somehow I had missed one of my favorite photos of the session.  This picture was taken at the very beginning of our session.  We were testing out lighting, and just playing around…but I love how this turned out.  I love it when new ideas work.  New, fresh, and modern.  Here you go.  Enjoy!
